Job Title: Senior Procurement Manager
Reports to: Head of Procurement
Location: Dublin

The role focus will be to compliment and expand the capability and capacity of the present Procurement team with a preferred experience and focus in activities with Contractors (either civil and / or electrical) – across all technologies (solar PV, BESS and wind) and all regions that Aer Soléir operates (Europe).

Key Responsibilities

  • Contractor identification and supply chain engagement across Aer Soléir markets.
  • Leading (or overseeing) RfX process, tender evaluation, contract negotiation and award of contracts, consultancy agreements and purchase orders including advising on developing scope of work, specifications, and other key contract documents
  • Prequalification of supply chain in line with Aer Soléir’s processes and policies
  • Monitoring of supply chain risks and other factors influencing Aer Soléir’s procurement
  • Provide input and lead implementation of continuous improvement of Procurement Processes
  • Provide data and analysis to support supply chain selection for projects including input into ongoing project estimating and budgeting tools as well as project finance processes
  • Identify, evaluate and manage key supplier relationships
  • Internal stakeholder collaboration across a broad range of disciplines including development, finance, engineering, interconnection, legal and construction, to ensure the business is provided the services it requires
  • Set a personal example in taking responsibility for all business activities proceeding ethically and safely, to the required quality standards and environmental performance
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experienced in construction/project procurement / contracting professional
  • Experience and strong ability in negotiating high-value supply and construction contracts (FIDIC or similar)
  • Broad network of relationships with key contractors and vendors relevant to the European construction industry and renewable energy supply chain
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high motivation and passion to help create and efficiently deliver renewable energy projects
  • Strong communication, analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience in renewable energy projects will be an advantage

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent blend of relevant professional training and experience
  • At least 5 years as procurement professional working with construction projects
  • Demonstrable experience in and knowledge of key practices and principles underpinning construction projects
  • Proficient in the English language. Other European languages will be an advantage.

Other

  • Occasional travel may be expected
  • 3 days a week in Dublin office
